the first part of their discography, up until somewhere around Super Roots 6, is pretty noisy. and random. Pop Tatari sounds like a bunch of retards banging various instruments and household objects and yelling and it's all just song fragments strung together.

when they hit Super ae they had evolved into more of a neo-Krautrock sorta thing. lots of drum layers, long dancable headfucks. lots of swirling electronics and stuff. they've been like that since then.

the Super Roots series shows their progression pretty well.

Super Roots = banging random shit
Super Roots 2 = banging random shit, but with a bit more structure and rhythm
Super Roots 3 = a half hour noisy hardcore punk jam where they play one chord for about 10 minutes, then switch, etc
Super Roots 5 = an hour long wave of noise. not really that harsh, though. more on the warm side
Super Roots 6 = strange electronic beats
Super Roots 7 = trance drum circle party
Super Roots 8 = electronically enhanced tribal beats and singing women
Super Roots 9 = one 40 min dance drum jam with various effects overtop. recorded live at some show
